Design Guidelines for Best DTF Results
Please review all instructions before placing your order. If your artwork does not meet these requirements, we reserve the right to cancel your order.
1. Copyright & Protected Content
- No Unauthorized IP: We cannot print trademarked or copyrighted material (e.g., Disney, NFL, fashion brands, or universities), screenshots, or watermarked images without written consent from the owner.
- Order Adjustments: Unauthorized images will be removed from your order. If the entire order consists of protected content, it will be canceled and refunded.
- Proof of Permission: If you have the rights to a design, please email written proof to hello@theprintkingdom.com.
2. Technical File Requirements
- Resolution: All artwork must be created at 300 DPI for high-quality results. Low-quality images may appear blurry or pixelated.
- Format: We accept .ai, .pdf, .psd, and .png files.
- Transparency: Use a transparent PNG. Any backgrounds, white boxes, or pixelated edges included in your file will be printed.
- Do Not Mirror: Submit your art exactly as you want it to look. Our software automatically mirrors the design for the press.
3. Sizing & Dimensions
- Print-Ready Sizing: Send your artwork at the exact size you want it printed. We size the transfer based on the longest side you select.
- Width Limits: The maximum width is 22 inches.
- Rounding Up: If your required length falls between sizes (e.g., you need 30 inches), please select the next size up (40 inches) at checkout.
4. Fine Details & Effects
- Line Weight: Outlines and fine lines must be at least 0.02pts wide. If they are thinner, the adhesive cannot bond properly, and the design will fail to transfer.
- Small Text: Words shorter than 0.35 inches tall may not print or transfer well. We recommend adding a "stroke" to thicken tiny details.
- Avoid Transparency Effects: DTF does not support semi-transparency, drop shadows, or gradient fades. These will not print as they appear on your screen.
- Flatten Fonts: All fonts must be converted to curves and flattened.
5. Essential Policies
- Color Responsibility: We are not responsible for color matching. We recommend using RGB color mode and checking your colors thoroughly before submission.
- No Returns: Since all items are custom-printed to your specific requirements, we cannot offer returns or exchanges.
- Content Standards: We reserve the right to cancel orders containing vulgar or offensive content. As a general rule, if it isn't appropriate for a 10-year-old child to see, we won't print it.
